ELANTAS Europe manufactures high-performance enamels for use as magnet wire coatings. They are coated on the surface of copper or aluminium wires and cured to form an electrical insulation film. Magnet wire enamels, in general, consist of polymeric resins dissolved in organic solvents. Apart from the basic electrical insulation requirement, this means depending on the end-use application wire enamels provide high thermal and mechanical stability, flexibility, moisture resistance, and long service life of the insulation.

Wire enamels are used where an electrical insulation of windings is necessary. The main end use application areas are transportation, automotive, household appliances, motors, transformers, industrial electronics or power generation.

ELANTAS Europe announces - Wire Enamel price increases

ELANTAS Europe, a leading supplier of Wire Enamels, today announced that will increase the prices for the product chemical families PEI – PEW – PAI – PE – PU – SB. The increases will become effective January 1st, 2025, for all orders shipped after. Due to significant increases in the costs of raw materials (TMA, Kresol) and other essential inputs, it is necessary to adjust our pricing structure. These increases are beyond our control and have impacted the entire industry. Additionally, to maintain the exceptional quality standards that you expect from us, we have had to invest in advanced technologies and processes, which have further contributed to our operational costs. Prices for the Wire Enamels will increase by: PEI - PEW (Polyester imide) +0,45 – 0,55 €/Kg PAI (Polyamide imide) – SB (Self bonding) +0,25 – 0,30 €/Kg PE (Polyester) – PU (Poly urethane) +0,20 – 0,25 €/Kg We understand that price adjustments can be challenging, and we assure you that this decision was made after careful consideration. Our goal is to continue delivering the premium quality and service you deserve while ensuring the sustainability of our operations.
